The X Games is a huge sporting event that allows for alternative sports like skateboarding and motorsports to shine. These athletes are deemed by many to be just as talented as any athlete in mainstream sports. Furthermore, there is no question that motorcycling and other motorsports are super popular.

The first X Games event was held in the year of 1995 and at this first event, there were almost 200,000 people in attendance. So this means that even at the start, motorcycling and motorsports clearly entertained a large group of people. In the year of 1999, the X Games saw their highest attendance which featured early 270,000 people attending the event. Seeing as how the most recent X Games event in 2017 had almost 215,000 people in attendance, it is clear this event is still super popular.

Between the months of January and March in 2017, stats and data were gathered together to study and understand the number of all-terrain vehicles sold to customers. These are vehicles that can drive on roads and off roads and can handle all types of terrains. There are just under 41,000 of these vehicles sold in that short span of time, which points to just how popular motorcycling and motorsports are now.

Motorcycle dealers, snowmobile dealers, and ATV dealers are now making more money than ever before. This is because motorsports, like motorcycling, are slowly becoming a global sport that rakes in huge money. Thanks to global motorsports sponsorship, the spending and value of these sports continue to only increase.

Global spending on motorsports sanctioning bodies, teams and tracks was projected to total $5.58 billion in 2016, a 2.8 percent increase from 2015. This is a recent year, almost three years ago, so you could imagine this number has actually increased. As there is more money put into motorcycling, there will be more people interested in entering this motorsport to make money for themselves.

In the year of 2014, sponsorships spending on global motorsports managed to reach $5.26 billion. In the year before, this number managed to reach nearly $5.12. In the year of 2012, the sponsorship spending managed to total nearly $5 billion. The increase in spending directly points to just how popular motorcycling and other motorsports are across the country.

Every single year there will be more and more people interested in motorsports. This is because people will not only follow their passion but they will also follow the money. So when there is more money spent on motorcycling, there are more peope looking to become professionals at motorcycling.
